Longest Lasting Maintenance
Strong enough to perform for 8-11 years on the highest traffic national parking lots of retail giants. Target, Home Depot & many others.
– Clean the asphalt pavement of dirt and debris (remove any vegetation and debris from cracks).
– If purchased in pails, thoroughly mix pail to even consistency.
– Apply liberally to pavement surface and work the material back and forth using a squeegee from one side of the driveway to the other. Ensure you overlap the passes by 50-60% to allow the material to properly fill and level low areas and eroded surface areas.
– Wait an hour after the material is dry to the touch before opening to traffic. Shaded areas will need additional time to set.
2020 COMMERCIAL LOTS
As asphalt ages it looses fines and surface deterioration occurs. A microsurface installation adds a wear coarse back to the surface of your asphalt pavement that was lost over time.
What’s the difference between a Sealcoat and a Microsurface?
A sealcoat is designed to beautify the pavement coloring the surface black. A sealcoat is typically thin like paint and has 0-2 pounds of fine sand per gallon added for traction. A micro is a thick bodied asphalt material consisting of 8-12 pounds of aggregate per gallon.
Best results are on pavements that are 3-6 years old. There is a dramatic difference in performance of sealers and micros.
What else is different between a Sealcoat and Microsurface?
A sealcoat is black when installed but the color fades quickly after installation. Sealer manufacturers recommend a 24-hour dry time before pavement can be opened to traffic.
All microsurfaces are black when installed and remain black for the life of the microsurface. Microsurface installations can be opened to traffic within a few hours (usually 2-4) of installation completion.
